It provides scholarships to the candidates who have passed the Class 10 examination or Higher Secondary (Class 12) exam or any other University Examination (UG / PG). Nabanna Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

To appeal for the Nabanna scholarship, a candidate must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

1. The applicant must have a domicile of West Bengal.
2. The candidates must have qualified the last exam from any accepted Board, Council of the University of West Bengal, and carry on their studies from any accepted educational institution in the state of West Bengal.
3. The candidate should have attained at least a minimum of 65 percent marks in Class 10 exams.
4. The candidate should have scored at least a minimum of 60 percent marks in Class 12 for undergraduate degree.
5. The candidates should have scored at least a minimum of 55 percent in the Honours subject for postgraduate degree.
6. The annual income of a candidate’s family should not be more than 60,000 INR.
7. The candidates must not be receiving any other government (central/state) scholarship or stipend for the same degree or during the last year.

Chief Minister’s Relief Fund Scholarship Sanction & Disbursement

Applications for sanction of financial assistance from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund are processed and examined by the CMRF Cell of Chief Minister’s Office. The Application may be sent to district Magistrate or Commissioner of Police, Kolkata, as the case may be, for inquiry. Hon’ble Chief Minister, West Bengal sanctions financial assistance from the fund to partially defray the expenses of treatment. The financial assistance sanctioned 1is a one-time grant only. Generally the sanctioned amount is directly forwarded to the concerned hospital / institute as per their advice. The sanction of financial assistance is provisional, authority has sole discretionary power to cancel the prior sanction without assigning the reason thereon.
