SC/ST/OBC Development Departments of Government of Kerala launched E Grantz Portal. It is a web-based Online Centralised System for Disbursement of Scholarships/Schemes to Pre-matric and Post-matric Students of SC, ST & OBC community in the state. The portal opens for students belonging to reserved categories to apply online for various scholarships so that they can get a high-quality education. More than 3 Lakhs students have to get benefited from E-Grantz Portal over the past years. The official authority also launched a new version E Grantz 3.0 Portal. All the students may apply online for all the scholarships available on E Grantz 3.0 through egrantz.kerala.gov.in.
E-Grantz Scholarship Benefits
A huge number of benefits provided by the official authority to all the students belonging to reserved categories for pursuing post-matric courses approved by the University / Board.
Scheduled Castes and other eligible Communities
- Lumpsum grant, Monthly stipend (day scholars) ABLC + Pocket Money (hostellers) Reimbursement of Tuition Fee, Special fee and examination fee in full without an income limit.
OBCs
- For +1 and +2 Monthly stipend, reimbursement of special fee and exam fee subject to income limit.
For Degree Courses
- Reimbursement of tuition fee, special fee and exam fee subject to income limit.
For PG and Professional courses
- Lumpsum grant, monthly stipend , Reimbursement of tuition fee, special fee and exam subject to income limit

- Fee is sanctioned once in an Academic year and paid to institution’s Account.

E Grantz Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
As every scholarship as some eligibility criteria, E Grantz Scholarship has also some eligibility criteria that have to followed by every applicant. Read all the eligibility criteria points very carefully and apply online for the scholarship.
Academic Qualification
- Only students studying at the post-matriculation level of studies from a recognized university/board are eligible.
- Candidates must have taken admission under the merit and reservation quota.
Domicile
- Applicant must be a resident of Kerala.
Categories Eligible
- Students belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Other Backward Classes (OBCs), Other Eligible Communities (OECs) and other socially/economically backward communities are able to submit scholarship form.
Income Limit For Kerala E-Grantz Scholarship
- For students belonging to SC and OECs, there is no income limitation.
- For students belonging to OBC category – The income limit is Rs. 1 Lakh per annum for +2 course, Degree, PG and Professional courses.
- For students belonging to other categories – The income limit is Rs. 1 Lakh for +2 course, Degree, PG and Professional courses.

- Above 8 km RS 750/-
- Students undergoing professional courses and reside at their own due or lack of hostel facility Rs.1500/-

Undergoing PG and Professional courses:

All the students who are new at E Grantz 3.0 Portal have to do One Time Online Registration. Follow the given below steps to do One Time Registration correctly.
- First of all you have to open E-Grantz 3.0 portal i.e egrantz.kerala.gov.in.
- Now click on the “One-Time Registration” button.
- After that enter your Aadhaar number and name (as on Aadhaar).
- And click on “Validate Aadhaar”.
- Now fill the mandatory details such as mobile number, birth date, email id, and password.
